Mental Tape Loops

Metaphorically speaking everybody has a tape recorder in their brains that captures ‘positive’ and ‘negative’ events, thoughts and words.

When we are anxious, depressed or euphoric (or in any altered mind state), the tape loop starts to play.

Depending on the imprints in your particular brain, this could be a happy song or a sad song. Ask yourself: who is the one selecting the songs? And who is the listener?
