Let the Fire Fall.
Dragon’s Breath is the closest I can describe to watching this day’s Yosemite Firefalls, as it waxed and waned in intensity while the mist rose up off Horsetail. It is not a given to see this phenomenon at all. All the elements need to align for the sun to strike the water that flows off of El Capitan during those precise few minutes of the day at sunset. An exhausting 15 hour solo drive on a gut feeling that fortunately panned out, this day is burned tangibly to memory.
