Timeless

An entire universe of nebulae undulating behind a glassy outer surface, moving as if thousands of years were passing every second. On approaching the crystal, reality starts to shimmer and bend the closer you get until you're no longer in command of your senses. Initially no one dared to get too close but human curiosity will win out in the end.
