There are few places on Earth where our planet's history is as tangible as in the Dolomites. It's hard to imagine that those rugged cliffs reveal what 250 million years ago was actually a coral reef, formed in the primordial ocean called Tethys. The tectonic shifts caused Earth's surface to push together and lift the layers up for millions of years. They now offer a glimpse into prehistoric times, perfectly on display in the mountains of Seceda.
