Haleakalā Heaven

This unique, one-of-a-kind image was taken on a perfect sunset drive, descending from the Haleakalā Summit on the island of Maui this past March.

I remember seeing this shot unfold before my eyes while I was driving. I quickly parked at the closest pull-off I could, grabbed my long lens, and sprinted with my sister-in-law to catch the last bit of light at this perfect stretch of road.

I did my best to capture the beauty of this fleeting Maui moment; a moment I won't ever forget.
