Golden City

Where some decades ago there was still mostly desert, one of the most visited cities in the world has sprung up within a historical blink of an eye. It is amazing what architectural achievements mankind is capable of.

And high above the rest of the skyscrapers, the majestic Burj Khalifa stands watch over the golden city at its feet.
