When you think of Zion National Park, images of the Watchman or Angels Landing come to mind. You see gorgeous grand vistas that are symbols of the American Southwest. However, if you spend enough time there, you'll start to think of the small details and intimate beauty that truly make Zion so spectacular. Vibrant fall colors, golden reflected light, and desert varnish. I grew up here, among the desert varnish. It left its impression on me just like some child left their handprints on it.
