Lance Pilgrim, 2021 — on Foundation
Description
Episode No. 21, Once You Pop.
2160x2700 1/1. Seamless loop animation.
The inaugural piece to Lance Pilgrim's anime themed, episodic 20 series.
He deconstructs and explores imagery and themes of 80s & 90s anime as it relates to contemporary life. Tackling themes of anxiety, addiction, and fear and juxtaposing them with vibrant energetic colors and patterns. In the 90s, these concepts were set to a futuristic, cyberpunk backdrop, often questioning society's relationship with technology.
