Impermanence

Ice caves rise and fall like the tides of the ocean. Once a popular hiking destination for views of dazzling blue ice, the frozen spectacle captured in this image now sits underwater as the glacier retreats. This unique photo was taken in 2013, before the ice melted away forever.
