FREEDOM - Genesis Drop

This iconic photograph of Sharbat Gula from National Geographic (1985) has been forever embedded in to my memory. My interpretation says “FREEDOM” in Arabic across the top and was illustrated using Procreate + AfterEffects.

It is unfortunate that to this day, many women worldwide are forced to live in oppression and silence their hopes and dreams. As a Pakistani native, I aim to use my art as a platform to help young women all over the world speak up and fearlessly pursue their passions.
