In Flanders Field 2020

By depicting a poppy field overwhelmed by alien clouds, I wanted to resemble the bleak but beautiful scene expressed in the original poem. In contradiction to the Ypres battlefields of 1915 no physical battle is seemingly happening, but the cloudy volumes give a strong resemblance to gas clouds.

The title is inspired by images of mass graves and street-riots of 2020.
