Lana with Bridge (Garden of Paradise series)

This piece is made from two sources, the movie The Garden of Words and the videos of Lana Del Rey.

Anime director Makoto Shinkai based the movie on an older Japanese kanji character for love meaning “lonely sadness,” and of romance translated as "longing for someone, in solitude". These phrases embody much of Del Rey’s work.

Collage usually takes away. I want these pieces to reinforce the characters within and look at the way images we identify with interact with us.
