Ego Death

Ego Death is a "complete loss of subjective self-identity". You think you are going mad, and at the lowest point in your life, you are revived from this sea of torture by an obscure ball of light. You swim up through the depths and see a stairway leading to a pitch black doorway - is this the end? In case I don't see you — good afternoon, good evening and good night.

Influenced by the last scene on the stairs in the film "The Truman Show" with Jim Carey.
