Jinkō-teki

The unnatural, the uncanny. My genesis piece for Foundation showcases portraiture work assisted by GAN. The name Jinkō-teki has a double meaning of something artificial and synthetic, perceived as fake yet being so natural to the eyes. My body of work revolves around visualizing unimaginable horror and morbid beauty, achieved with the assistance of quantum computing. The same as how NFTs are perceived as synthetic mediums challenging the norm in art, this piece along with the rest of my work resonates deeply with the theme of artificiality.
