The Path we Follow

Looking at the smooth light of this vibrant sunset entering this incredible Icelandic canyon, all seems beautiful, we could never imagine the path which has been followed to achieve this.

I walked in deep mud for a while, under a strong rain, a violent wind blowing against me. It was cold, the orangey ’’steps’’ you can see were very slippery, some were covered in ice so much that I almost fell into the glacial river while going down. Finally, I waited here for hours, sitting on the cold stone, resisting the elements raging around me till the last minute, before seeing the sky get clearer and the sunlight brighten the walls of the canyon.

This is how life works. No matter how hard the journey can be, no matter how long you can wait, no matter the obstacles, there is always light waiting for you at the end of the path.
