Gondolas at Rest

As luck would have it, my first time to visit and capture Venice was during the time of Acqua Alta in 2019. Not only was it an extraordinary experience to wade through the streets of Venice in boots bought off merchants along the perimeter of the Piazza, it was also the perfect condition to capture the parked gondolas without people obstructing the view.

The weather was overcast which contributed to the somewhat somber mood of the scene which was the total opposite of what I was feeling during that time. I was all giddy thinking what luck I had!
