Straight out of a dream

Sometimes things happen, beautiful things, from the most unexpected and familiar places at the most unexpected time. This one was taken from a very ordinary place in Kozhikode Beach, and was there umpteen number of times before. A peanut seller was selling peanuts and suddenly came the rain. He closed his cart with a plastic sheet and the lamp inside casted a shadow of him on the sheet. Simultaneously I froze the rain drops with a flash. The result was amazing . It looked like somebody just landed on the moon or Somebody is coming out of someone's dream . I have been there again hundred of times, tried the same thing again and again , but never was able to reproduce such a photo. Some things just happen for once, never to repeat. All you have to do is embrace it , enjoy it and live the moment. The image has won the Award in Paris Street Photography festival 2019 and was the finalist in Miami Street photo festival, London Street photo festival & Brussels Street photo festival
