Far Away

Lost in the swiss mountains on a summer evening, I wanted to capture the Milky Way. So I drove more than 3 hours to go where I wanted. I moved away from neighboring towns as much as possible so as not to be disturbed by their light and to see the Milky Way really well. Around 2am, I left the parking lot where I had set up my camp for the night, to capture this wonder of nature.

Arrived on the spot, I discovered that campers had made a campfire near their camp. I thought that the composition of the photo could be perfect, it looked like the campfire was lighting up part of the sky. After hundreds of shots, I had THE image. This photo is my favorite astro shot I've ever taken.
