Awakening.

As the sun rises over the Swiss alps, the peaks start to get hit by a very soft light that creates a magical atmosphere.

The night before, I had all ready to embark on a sunrise mission to this beautiful spot. However, the weather didn’t look promising as clouds were completely covering the mountain range and there was even some rain in the forecast. Still, I decided to head up to the mountains to capture the image I had in mind, and against sub-zero temperatures, and an unpromising forecast, the mountains welcomed me with this beautiful alpine vista for sunrise. It was one of those moments where it’s only you, and the landscape that surrounds you.

This photograph represents how beautiful alpine environments can be and even though mountains can be very risky places to explore, there will always be moments of true peace and tranquility like this one.
