Golden Gate Day Dream

Shot on Minolta x700 with Portra 400 This day was a special day for me and my photography journey, It all started 3 years ago when I first picked up a camera after a rough breakup and other struggles that had me searching for happiness anywhere I could find it. I started going to the city and shooting street photography, growing up in the small towns of Sonoma County about 30 min north of SF everything in the city felt so new and exciting. I fell in love with the movement and candid moments that I would be able to capture, I was hooked. I decided to go to Treasure Island just off the Bay Bridge at night to capture the city lights. it was such great night taking photos and enjoying myself, but all of that quickly came to an end after being robbed of my camera and attacked. I lived in fear of ever going back to the city and this image is from the first day in three years going back, I hope you love this image as much as I do If you love something, never stop fighting for it. -Nick P
