The air was cold and foggy, and the mind was confused and hazy at first light. With nowhere to go, I noticed some footsteps that did not return. A tiny figure sat alone, looking out into nothingness as I looked up from the break wall. They sought to make sense of this new environment that appeared more than anything else like it should have been. Still, They weren't, an impossible jigsaw piece fitting together correctly where there had been none before.
What has been the saddest thing you've ever witnessed? It's not even a memory from my past for me. It was something that happened just this morning. I'm still processing how terrible everything felt when all hope seemed lost. Still, then someone came along to help us see beyond what could never be repaired or replaced by anything other than love itself. Love eventually transcends any pain imaginable no matter where its origin lies; fear of rejection because deep down, we know there might already exist within ourselves some denial.
