Lily (Flower Portrait)

This piece is from an ongoing project I started one evening in 2014, after feeling uninspired and creatively stunted. It sparked instant joy and from that night onward, a new love affair and project was born (and for want of a better name, was coined my "Flower Portrait" series). Juxtaposing the new with the old, these digital collages are made up from my photographs and old masters still life paintings. A celebration and homage to the fragility of Beauty.
