Fairy Floss Sunsets by Jaxon Roberts

This piece has a special place in my heart. It is one of my favourite photos I've ever taken and it was also captured at my local beach in Perth, City Beach.

In November 2020, my good friend and also very talented photographer, Chad Gerber, sent me a message saying the clouds are looking good, pointing towards a banger sunset. With not long until the sun set, we jumped in our cars and went to the closest beach. As we arrived at the beach it was still hard to tell if the sunset was going to pop but after being patient, we were not disappointed.

I decided to get creative and I experimented using a slow shutter on the drone for the first time ever. The first few shots turned out bad but after playing around with the settings I finally nailed this shot, giving it a soft dreamy look similar to a painting.
