Insomnia

This image is from my 2020 series Doppelgänger, which uses double exposures to explore dualities and personal emotional experiences.

At the time of this photo, I was experiencing a large amount of uncertainty in my life and the photos from this time reflect this. This particular image is one of my personal favourites from the series.

It was selected by Public Offerings and Artsy to be exhibited for their online exhibition on contemporary portraiture 'face me'.

This image is shot on medium format film and the double exposure is all done in-camera.
