The whole coastline caught fire on this evening. It has taken me 5 years and hundreds of attempts to get this photo but persistence paid off and when all the stars aligned to make this capture possible, I was ready. It had been stormy all day and just before sunset the weather completely changed for the better. The rain stopped, revealing clear crisp air as far as the eye could see. The waves and wind swell calmed which made brilliantly glassy conditions on the ocean surface. High clouds moved in which made the skies absolutely explode with color at sunset. A gentle reminder that no matter how bad things may seem right now your best days may be right around the corner, keep going.
From the bottom to the top of the photo you have Fishermans Cove, Shaws Cove, Crescent Bay, Emerald Bay, Irvine Cove, Crystal Cove, Corona Del Mar, Newport Beach all the way up to Palos Verdes. 50 miles of California coastline in all its glory!
