La Zenia, 2020.
Moonlight fills the room while they whisper her name. She awakens and opens her eyes, but she is only in the presence of her own. She keeps hearing her name so she follows the sound outside, unaware of the time slowly passing. Barefoot and still on her own she walks until she hears the ocean in the distance. She walks towards the whispering as her nightgown collects the grains of sand as if they were keeping her company. As if they were holding on to her like she had been holding on to that voice. Her feet start to feel moist and sand hides between her toes. When midnight strikes, the waves wash over her feet, taking back what belonged to them. She steps into the void where she vanishes into the night waiting for her name to be called once again. But there’s only silence.
