New Years Eve Ringing In 2017

This photo was taken Dec 31st 2016 a few minutes before the clock struck midnight.

I had reservations with my lady to celebrate New Years at the Atlantic Grill restaurant on the upper east side that night when I received a call a few hours before New Years.

The call was from the owner of a Helicopter company asking me if I would like to photograph New Years above Times Square. I said I would love to but I had to check with my lady first. He said I could bring her with me if she agreed to change her plans.

To my surprise she said yes :)

I still had one more issue, we would be flying about 5,000 ft above NYC and I didn't own a long lens at the time and there were no stores open to buy or rent one. A friend of mine in jersey said he could bring me one to the city. He was already celebrating and stopped what he was doing to bring it in.

The rest is history, The Best New Years date of my life and definitely one of my greatest all time NYC experiences.
