The Fishermen of the Inle Lake are an icon themselves of Myanmar (Burma). Their unique rowing technique, using one leg to move the oar, allows them to use the bamboo nets hands free in the shallow waters, pushing the frame all the way to the bottom of the lake.
I was determined to shoot the fisherman through the frame of his conical bamboo net to enhance the perspective of a tunnel-like view, so I sneaked into his tiny boat and watched him slowly pushing the boat onto the lake into the darkness of the dawn, waiting for the sunrise.
