Gentle Dissolution 1/N

This artwork started as a fascination with Mark Lovejoy's printing press ink photographs, which grew into a generative approach to paint mixing.

It is meant to be looked at closely -- every shape started as a grid-aligned rectangle, until it was bent, twisted, and stirred alongside its neighbors into the blobs left on the page.

Generated using Julia, and baked on a Threadripper.
