On a night when you are the only passenger, sitting at the back of the bus, listening to the drone of the engine and looking at the streaks of light outside the window, you find yourself in a state of being stuck between where you came from and where you want to be.
“The bus hurtles through the void. City lights cross and cut with the shadows of trees and the occasional car goes by. Every light draws a line with the movement of the bus and the movement of my hands and at the end of every line, at the end of every day, is an empty bus stop.”
Every frame a painting is a series of video loops that are made up of individual long exposure photographs that come together in a single artwork. Paying tribute to both photography and painting, each image is a combination of the movement of the camera (dragging the shutter) as well as the feeling and story associated with how the camera was moved during the shooting process. Every frame is a painting.
