Ballet de las Ballenas

Based off an Acrylic painting I completed in 2019, now digitally painted, chopped up and animated with the intent to capture the movement that a still image cannot. Such beauty and flow as these large mammals move their way through the oceans like how wind brushes against flora. Their large bodies do not allow for quick movement, rather a very calculated, beautiful sway almost like a slow dance. My hope was to develop the painting further to immerse the viewer into the world of this majestic animal and bring about, “Ballet de las Ballenas”. //Fun facts// Original painting was on a 4ftx4ft canvas, my first ever in that size and painted live at the Richmond Tattoo convention. The painting is also part of a clothing line at Curbside Clothing. Total time: God only knows, but it sure has been a long journey seeing it come alive from start to finish.
