This is one of my favorite photos to come out of the pandemic and one I'm really excited to share for my first mint. My family and I spent much of the pandemic on a small island in Long Island sound watching boats move in and out of the harbor. It was an anxious time for all (an understatement) and not always easy to be creative. This particular calm happened after a late afternoon storm moved through, leaving a hot saturated sunset over the harbor and an undeniable invitation to make a photograph.
Oftentimes, pressing pause is the best thing to do.
