Bamboo Forest in the Snow

This path in Arashiyama, one of the most famous bamboo groves in the world, is always heavily crowded with tourists from morning to night.The only exception was when a once-in-a-decade snowstorm disrupted traffic throughout Kyoto, attracting only a few people from the local area and a few picky photographers. It was then that we saw a sight worth the trouble.
