The State of Innocence

Where has your innocence disappeared?

Can you smile without thinking about the lumps of grief on your mind?

Can you not envy witnessing the success of your acquaintances?

Can you wake up without thinking about the challenges that the day behold?

I don’t know why these questions kept bothering me when I saw these children running mindlessly through the park laughing, crying, and shouting. Their laughter filled the air that brought the memories of my childhood back which were disappearing to thin air as the time ran forward.
