Frankie // Avstract specimen 2.0

The single photographic element in this artwork is of a South American Jenday Conure in flight that was photographed in a controlled studio environment. This one element is repeated, flipped, turned and overlaid so that it interacts with itself to keep the base element recognisable but transforms the finished artwork into something else. This was created for my Avstract series in 2015 and has won a number of photographic awards.

The bird in this picture goes by the name "Frankie" and is my girlfriend's beloved pet bird.
