I was out photographing in Stirling, Scotland with one of my friends. Originally we went to photograph a historic monument but sadly the sunset came to nothing. Then we decided to walk up to a view point that looks right out over the whole of Stirling. The sunlight started to fade and it gradually got darker and the mist started rolling in. In the distance we could see this one tree secluded in a field, so we ran down to the car and drove to get a closer look. We spent so much time trying out different compositions, but as soon as we put ourselves in the photo, that was it, it was perfect. It was also an added bonus that in the distance was Stirling Castle, it added some much needed depth to the photo. In that moment I realised I had captured something special. To literally be in the middle of nowhere with my friend doing what we love will be a memory that will last forever.
