This is the most emotional piece I have ever created, made during the darkest time in my life. This was originally called mindscape because it was a visual representation of what I felt when I made it. Right in the centre, you can see me in my most vulnerable state, trapped, hopeless with no escape from myself. Anywhere you look, all you see is chaos. This was my mind, or at least I thought. It was the state of mind that I was trapped in, a place where nothing but happiness existed and all I had to lose was myself.
Human Experience is unique but we all face the burden of living. Every single mark on this piece was a reaction; a reaction to my own perception of reality, a reaction to the burdens of everyday life, to the internal conflict that had consumed my mind and the struggles in violence. From the aggressive brush strokes, the rough markings, and the primitive drawings, as well as the disillusioning words floating around.
