As a travel photographer, I have been to countless breathtaking places and hiked many miles off the beaten path. If you ask me what is the most incredible place I have been to? It is ‘The Zion Narrow’.
The Zion Narrows is world famous for its sculpted sandstone walls and breathtaking beauty. Hiking this slot canyon is unique because the river is the trail. I had to cross back and forth over the slick bowling ball sized boulders, which make up most of the riverbed. The canyon is so narrow, the river covers the bottom in many spots, which means I had to wade or swim to proceed.
Hiking The Narrows was a life-changing experience. I always have unique vision for photographing extraordinary places like this. It took me three trips and many hours to bring my vision to life to create this masterpiece. The canyon walls and multi colored rocks are created from 18 million years of river erosion. This photo is timeless. The Zion Narrows is the majestic hallways of earth.
