Backstory: On September 2, 2019, standing alone in a desert field, I watched this storm roll off the Santa Rita Mountains south of Tucson, Arizona. Nearly defeated and disappointed, I was almost ready to throw in the towel and go home. Sunburned face and dehydrated, I hastily set up my camera, knowing full well capturing lightning while standing out in full sun was a tough catch. But as this downburst of rain quickly raced towards me, a solitary bolt seemed to lurch out of the sky and land a mile away through the rainbow. The elation I immediately felt was unlike any other.

The winning bidder will receive a signed 16x24 metal print.
