COWBOY CAMPING IN THE WILD

After exploring earth maps in search of rare locations to create a reflection timelapse of the Milkyway in Colorado, I ventured to this challenging to get to, off road spot in a Jeep and set up to shoot. As the night progressed, a storm cloud filled the sky and threatened rain, and it was very dark and creepy to be there! It was also very cold so I set up a cot and crawled into a sleeping bag next to my camera. The ground was soft and wet on the edge of the water and I could feel the cot sinking, but laying there looking up at the stars was an amazing experience. I tried not to think of the wildlife I could have encountered and focused on finishing the timelapse! Obviously, I survived and got the shot.
