Pushing myself to create beyond what I'm used to keeps my spirit healthy. It's the action of creating that provides a cathartic experience that I fuels my motivation. On this evening near the San Xavier Mission in Tucson, Arizona, I was disappointed to see that the entire front facade of the mission was covered in scaffolding due to repairs and upgrades. I pushed myself to find something beyond my original idea and saw a flock of doves on top of the dome of the mission. I waited several minutes and precisely as the sun set beyond the horizon the birds took flight. I captured this beautiful scene using my Sony a1 and 200-600 lens and loved the result.
