“it’s like the sky grew arms” comes second in a series by CC & Juni. This digital self-portrait assemblage combines our two figures in daytime afterglow, through a prism of skin and sky and parts diffusing. Floating in and out, they fracture and recombine. How do you measure the space between nothings? CC’s identity as a nonbinary femme caresses yet contrasts Juni’s trans femininity — where does the spirit really congeal?
Their conjoined form stands tall, cut out from the void, in the halo of a backdrop both unreal, and surreal — effervescent, technicolor, vaporized.
“phase change: it’s like the sky grew arms” is a statement of singularity; of everything and nothing.
