The Fleabane and the Squirrels #1

Very young wild European ground squirrel(s) (Spermophilus) going for a fleabane. The whole sequence consists of three photos being dropped one at a time.

Photo #1: a single European ground squirrel holding the fleabane. Winner of the National Geographic Germany 2018 contest.

Photo #2: another European ground squirrel approaches having a look.

Photo #3: both European ground squirrels try to eat it.

Nothing has been changed in post processing of this photo, no retouching or altering of elements – just basic RAW processing.

10% of net profit will go directly to an organization taking care of the European ground squirrels around Vienna in Austria (very likely the IGL-Marchfeldkanal).
