Sarsha - Sardine Shachiku

According to Japanese etymology, 社 (𝚜𝚑𝚊 = 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚙𝚊𝚗𝚢) + 畜 (𝚌𝚑𝚒𝚔𝚞 = 𝚕𝚒𝚟𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚘𝚌𝚔). The term 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙠𝙪 represents employee(s) who are completely subservient to their company; an overworked wage slave.

𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙠𝙪 echoes the metaphor of modern companies 'packing workers in like sardines': workers sloughing through traffic, drowning under immense workloads, in work messages after hours, completely devoid of a personal self.

I created this piece as a reminder to myself and others. Let's learn to set boundaries and seek help from loved ones, and free ourselves from the mentality of being a 'Sarsha'.
