The text is from The Tale of Genji, Aoi chapter. Copied from the work written in 14th century (Kamakura period). This calligraphy work was exhibited at the calligraphy exhibition at Meiji shrine in Tokyo and received an award from Tokyo shodo kyouiku kai.
Japanese ink on pattern paper.
This artwork combined my calligraphy work with Hokusai's Great Wave off Kanagawa using neural style transfer technic.
