A recurring dreamer restlessly navigates their repetitive reverie. They are simultaneously chasing an elusive new world whilst desperately attempting to escape the one before. As soon as the dreamer thinks he's escaped, he realizes that he's at the beginning again. Would the looping end if he only learned how to let go? Or would the next door be the portal that releases him from the cycle? Does the dreamer control the narrative or does the narrative control the dreamer?
The color and environment may change but the narrative stays the same.
The Recurring Dreamer was made to be a safe space for sleep. Something to ponder and focus on when your mind tries to take control in the hours of darkness. I used the making of this piece as a therapy for my own dreams. My hope is that it brings a sense of balance and calm in your sleep as well.
