Spirited Away was my first Ghibli movie and I vividly remember how enraptured I was with Miyazaki's fantastical world. I knew I'd do a tribute (or a few) because they deeply inspire me, and I finally felt like I could do them them justice.
The scene where Chihiro chases Haku through the garden is so beautiful and I used the flowers from this moment. There are 4 of them - apricot flowers, camellias, rhododendrons, and oleanders - and each represent a season of the year. And the night sky represents the immense sense of wonder that the film inspires in me!
