Snoh is a musical goddess. I immersed myself in her discography while I was working on this piece and was blown away by her ability to evoke emotions.

Snoh was born in Sweden to Iranian immigrants. I used a twin flower, the national flower of Sweden, and the gulnar (pomegranate flower) a healing flower notable in Iranian poetry for symbolizing the beauty and delicacy of loved ones.

Futhermore, she and her father are black which lead me to learn about the black diaspora in Iran which resulted from the East African slave trade. I used an East African floral print motif to represent this important aspect of her identity.
