A night under technicolor daydreams

This is my genesis piece in the NFT space, and a classic photograph of mine captured during a alpenglow sunset along Turnagain Arm in Girdwood, Alaska.

I've lived in Alaska for my entire life, but this pink and purple sunset was unlike anything I'd ever seen. As I sat there after the sun sank below the horizon, I watched a shooting star streak across the evening sky. Still in awe from the alpenglow, I recreated the evening, blending those two divine moments into one image.

This feeling is exactly why I began photography. To capture the divine, inspire wonder, and shine a light when things are most bleak. When this photo was taken, I was in one of the worst depressive episodes I'd experienced in a while. Though it doesn't look like it at first glance, this evening inspired one of my greatest shifts as an artist, and as an adult.
