Wonderland is a series of contradictions between what is real and what you see. It’s also a record of a moment in time and a simulation of that reality.
Spanning over four years, these series of pictures were captured in some of the wildest places on Earth. Shot on aeronautical infrared film used for reconnaissance during the world war 2, the Kodak Aerochrome captures the infrared wavelength, unseen to the human eye. Once processed the film renders the chlorophyll in plants into strange hues of pinks and reds distorting what is real.
Recorded using a medium format film camera, processed using E6 chemicals, digitised and minted.
